Page Brief

This page brings together the legal information that applies to this website and to the training courses and related services offered through it. It is written for visitors, prospective learners, enrolled learners, and the organisations that book training on their behalf. It should be read together with the other policies referred to below. In this page, "we", "us" and "our" mean buzzclari, the operator of this website, and "you" means the person browsing the site, submitting an enquiry, or booking a place on a course.

1. Identity of the Website Operator and Its Role

buzzclari operates this commercial website as a provider of specialist training in live production, media feeds and control room practice. The business is built around a straightforward idea: reliable media feeds are the backbone of broadcast and streaming, and the people who operate, switch, route and distribute those feeds need practical, hands-on instruction rather than theory alone.

Our teaching covers professional video operation, live signal management, content distribution, camera work, and the creation of dependable, high-quality feeds for news programmes and television broadcasting. Courses combine control room exercises, multi-camera switching, live broadcasting technique and real-time video operation with instruction in the standards, workflows and documentation that professional television and streaming productions expect.

Our role on this website is twofold. First, we publish information about our courses, our trainers, our facilities and our booking arrangements. Second, we administer enrolments and provide learner support. We are the controller responsible for the personal data collected through the site and through the booking process, and we are the party with whom you contract when you reserve a place on a course. We are not an agent for broadcasters, manufacturers or event organisers, and we do not sell broadcast hardware or equipment.

2. Legal Form, Registration Details, Tax Identifiers and Responsible Representatives

2.1 Legal form and place of registration

buzzclari is a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales. Our Company Registration Number is 02867466, and our place of registration is England and Wales. The register of companies is maintained by Companies House in the United Kingdom and is open to public inspection.

As a company registered in England and Wales, we are required by the Company, Limited Liability Partnership and Business (Names and Trading Disclosures) Regulations 2015 to display our registered name, our registered number, our place of registration and our registered office address on our website. This page, together with the footer that appears on every page of the site, provides that information in a form that is easy to find and read.

2.2 Tax identifiers

We are registered for Value Added Tax in the United Kingdom. Our VAT Registration Number is GB 645 085 923. Course fees are quoted in pounds sterling and are inclusive of VAT where VAT is chargeable. Where a fee is not subject to VAT, or where a reverse-charge or exemption applies to a business customer, this is stated on the quotation or invoice.

Service providers that are registered for VAT must make their VAT number available on their website. This follows from the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002 and the Provision of Services Regulations 2009, which require providers of information society and other services to disclose their identity, registration details and tax identifiers. The number appears in this section and in the site footer.

2.3 Trade register entry and professional status

Our entry in the register of companies is available for public inspection at Companies House. We do not practise a regulated profession, and no professional body supervises the training we deliver or sets entry standards for it. We are not a recognised awarding organisation. Where a course prepares learners for a certificate or accreditation issued by a third-party awarding body, that body's own rules, fees and appeals process apply in addition to ours, and we will tell you which body is involved before you book.

2.4 Responsible representatives

The persons responsible for the management of the company are its directors, whose details are filed with Companies House and available for public inspection. The directors are accountable for the content published on this site, for the accuracy of the commercial claims we make, and for the conduct of the business as a whole. The company's statutory registers are kept at the registered office and may be inspected in accordance with the Companies Act 2006.

2.5 Regulatory framework we work within

Our activities are conducted in compliance with the laws of England and Wales that govern commercial education, e-commerce, consumer contracts and data protection. The instruments that most directly shape this page are: the Companies Act 2006 and the Trading Disclosures Regulations 2015; the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002; the Provision of Services Regulations 2009; the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013; the Consumer Rights Act 2015; the Business Protection from Misleading Marketing Regulations 2008; the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018; and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003.

3. Registered Office and Available Contact Details

3.1 Registered office

Our registered office, which is the address at which formal notices and legal documents may be served on the company, is: 32-34 Greenhill Crescent, Watford Business Park, Watford, Hertfordshire WD18 8JU, United Kingdom. This address is a matter of public record and is shown on the Companies House register. Written correspondence about bookings, complaints or formal notices should be directed there unless we have agreed a different address with you in writing.

3.2 Email and telephone

You can reach us by email at info@gravitymedia.com and by telephone on +44 20 3104 0000. Email is the most reliable route for enquiries about course content, dates and invoices, because it leaves a written record for both sides. The telephone is usually the quickest route for matters that need an answer the same working day, such as an access requirement for a course that starts within the next twenty-four hours. Our lines are staffed during normal United Kingdom office hours, and messages left outside those hours are picked up on the next working day.

3.3 Contact form

The Contacts page of this website carries a contact form. The form asks you for your own name, email address, a telephone number if you choose to give one, and the subject of your enquiry, so that we can reply and keep a record of the exchange. Please do not send payment card details, passwords or special category data such as health information through the form unless we have specifically asked you to, for example to arrange an access adjustment for a course.

3.4 Formal notices

Formal notices under a contract for a course must be in writing and sent by email to info@gravitymedia.com or by post to 32-34 Greenhill Crescent, Watford Business Park, Watford, Hertfordshire WD18 8JU, United Kingdom. A notice sent by email before 4pm on a working day is treated as received on the next working day; a notice sent by post within the United Kingdom is treated as received three working days after posting. Notices to you will be sent to the email address you gave us when you booked.

4. Purpose, Scope and Intended Audience of This Website

4.1 Purpose

The site exists to describe our training programme and to let visitors enrol. It explains what each course covers, how long it lasts, where it is delivered, what prior knowledge is expected, what equipment and software learners will use, and how learning is assessed. It also provides the practical information a learner or an employer needs before committing money and time: fees, dates, cancellation terms, accessibility arrangements and the standards we hold ourselves to.

4.2 Scope

The scope of the site extends to course descriptions, schedules, pricing, booking and payment, joining instructions, learner policies, our legal and policy pages, and information about the training we offer. It does not extend to technical support for third-party hardware or software, to the supply of broadcast equipment, or to engineering, legal, financial or safety advice. Where we describe a product, workflow or standard, we do so for teaching purposes; the manufacturer's or standards body's own documentation remains authoritative.

4.3 Intended audience

The site is aimed at media professionals, production technicians, aspiring broadcasters, camera operators, streaming and live event crews, students of film and television production, corporate communications teams, and organisations that run live events or produce content in-house. Content is written for users in the United Kingdom and internationally. Courses are taught in English, and a good working command of spoken and written English is expected, because much of the learning happens through live direction in a control room environment.

4.4 Adults only

The site and our courses are intended for adults and for professional learners aged eighteen or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a young person has submitted personal data to us, please tell us at info@gravitymedia.com and we will delete it.

5. Rules for Access to and Acceptable Use of the Website

5.1 Access

Access to the public areas of the site is free and does not require registration. Access to learner materials, joining instructions, schedules and assessment records requires a confirmed booking and the credentials we issue. You are responsible for keeping those credentials confidential and for all activity that takes place under them. Tell us at once if you believe someone else has obtained your credentials.

5.2 Permitted use

5.3 Prohibited use

5.4 Consequences of misuse

Where we reasonably believe these rules have been broken, we may suspend or terminate access to learner materials, cancel a booking, refuse future bookings or take legal action. Where the breach is capable of remedy we will normally give you a written warning and a reasonable opportunity to put matters right before taking more serious steps. Serious breaches, such as attempts to compromise the security of the site or the safety of learners, may result in immediate suspension.

6. Ownership and Permitted Use of Website Content, Trade Marks and Other Intellectual Property

6.1 Ownership

All content on this site, including text, course outlines, diagrams, signal flow illustrations, photographs, video, audio, software, layout and design, is owned by or licensed to buzzclari and is protected by copyright, database right and other intellectual property rights under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and, where applicable, the law of other jurisdictions.

6.2 Licence to course materials

Where you attend a course, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the course materials for your own learning and reference. You may take notes and keep copies for personal use. You may not copy, sell, publish, upload, share or use the materials to deliver training to others, and you may not remove or obscure any copyright notice. Employer bookings do not extend this licence to staff who did not attend.

6.3 Trade marks

The name buzzclari, our logo and our course names are our trade marks. You may refer to them truthfully to describe our courses, but you may not use them in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership or accreditation that does not exist. Other product, company and standards names mentioned on the site are the trade marks of their respective owners and are used for identification and teaching purposes only.

6.4 Quotation and reproduction requests

You may quote short extracts of our public content for review, commentary or teaching, provided the source is acknowledged, the quotation is fair and proportionate, and it does not imply endorsement. Requests to reproduce material at scale, to translate it, or to use it in commercial training should be sent to info@gravitymedia.com. We aim to respond within five working days.

7. Accuracy, Availability and Proportionate Limits of Liability

7.1 Accuracy of information

We take care to keep course descriptions, dates, fees and technical details accurate and current, but they may change as software, hardware and broadcast standards evolve. We correct errors as soon as we become aware of them and will tell you before a booking is confirmed if a material detail has changed. Illustrative material, sample schedules, equipment lists and screenshots are indicative only; the equipment used on a given course may differ where an equivalent substitute is necessary.

7.2 Availability of the site

We aim to keep the site available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The site may be unavailable during planned maintenance, updates, or because of factors outside our control such as network failures or outages at our hosting provider. We try to schedule maintenance outside normal United Kingdom office hours. A short interruption to the website does not affect the validity of a booking that has already been confirmed by email.

7.3 Limits of liability

Nothing in this page excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that: we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss; our total liability in connection with the site or a course is limited to the fees you paid for that course; and we are not responsible for the accuracy of third-party content or for the acts and omissions of third parties.

7.4 Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the equipment, software and connectivity you use to access the site, for keeping your own backups, for the commercial or editorial decisions you take on the basis of general information published here, and for the acts of anyone you allow to use your credentials. Where a course requires you to bring equipment or install software, the minimum requirements are published with the course description.

8. External Links and Third-Party Content

This site may link to third-party websites, booking or payment processors, awarding bodies, venues, software vendors and standards organisations. Those links are provided for convenience and information only. We do not control those sites, we do not endorse them, and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, security or privacy practices. When you follow a link, the terms and privacy policy of the destination site apply, and you should read them before providing personal data or making a payment.

Payment card processing is carried out by a third-party payment provider under its own terms, and we do not store full card numbers. Embedded media, mapping or font services, where used, may set cookies or similar technologies; these are described in the Cookie Policy. If you find a link that is broken, misleading or points to inappropriate material, please tell us at info@gravitymedia.com so that we can review it.

9. Consumer Contracts, Prices, Cancellation and Refunds

9.1 Information provided before you book

Before a booking is concluded we provide, in a clear and comprehensible form: the main characteristics of the course; the total price inclusive of VAT; the arrangements for payment; the dates, times, location or method of delivery; the minimum technical requirements; our cancellation, transfer and refund terms; the duration of any cancellation period and the conditions for exercising it; and how to complain. This reflects the information duties in the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

9.2 Cancellation rights and the leisure-services exception

Where you book as a consumer at a distance, you normally have fourteen days from the day the contract is concluded to cancel without giving a reason. However, the statutory right to cancel does not apply to contracts for leisure services supplied on a specific date or within a specific period, and it is lost where a course has been attended in full or where you expressly asked us to begin delivery within the cancellation period. Where the exception applies we tell you before you book, and the cancellation rights that remain are set out in the Payment and Refund Policy.

9.3 Prices and VAT

All prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where VAT is chargeable. Our VAT Registration Number is GB 645 085 923. We may change prices and course dates from time to time, but a change does not affect a booking that we have already confirmed in writing. If we have to cancel or reschedule a course, you may choose a transfer, a full refund or a credit, as set out in the Payment and Refund Policy.

9.4 Refunds, complaints and service quality

Refund, transfer and cancellation terms are set out in the Payment and Refund Policy, which forms part of your contract with us. If something goes wrong, please contact us first at info@gravitymedia.com with the booking reference and a short description of the problem. We aim to acknowledge complaints within three working days and to resolve them within twenty-eight days. Nothing in our complaints procedure affects your statutory rights, including your right to remedies under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 where a service is not performed with reasonable care and skill.

10. Data Protection, Cookies and Electronic Communications

10.1 Controller and lawful bases

buzzclari is the data controller for personal data processed through this site and in the course of delivering training. We process personal data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. The lawful bases we rely on are: performance of a contract, to administer your booking and deliver the course; legitimate interests, to run and improve our business, keep records, prevent fraud and respond to enquiries; legal obligation, for tax, accounting and record-keeping; and consent, for marketing emails and for non-essential cookies.

10.2 What we collect and how long we keep it

We collect the details you give us when you enquire or book, such as your name, contact details, employer, billing information and any access requirements you choose to share; the records we create in delivering training, such as attendance, assessment outcomes and correspondence; and technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited. We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, and for the periods required by tax and accounting law, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

10.3 Your rights

You have the right to be informed about how your data is used, to access it, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis for processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@gravitymedia.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the United Kingdom's independent data protection regulator, although we would welcome the chance to resolve your concern first.

10.4 Cookies and PECR

The site uses a cookie banner to collect and record your choices. Strictly necessary cookies, which enable core functions such as security and remembering your cookie preferences, are set without consent because the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 permit it. Analytics and other non-essential cookies are set only if you agree, and refusing them will not prevent you from using the site or booking a course. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the cookie banner, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some features may then work less well.

10.5 Transfers and security

Where personal data is transferred outside the United Kingdom, we rely on an adequacy regulation or on appropriate safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Addendum, together with a transfer risk assessment. We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including access controls, encryption in transit and staff confidentiality obligations, and we require processors acting on our behalf to meet equivalent standards.

11. Related Policies and Cross-References

This page is one part of a set of documents that should be read together. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, including retention periods, your rights and how to exercise them. The Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on the site and the choices available to you under PECR. The Terms and Conditions set out the contract that applies when you book a course and when you use the site, including payment terms, learner obligations and our rights to change or cancel a course. The Payment and Refund Policy explains billing, invoices, cancellations, transfers and refunds.

Where a document conflicts with another, the Terms and Conditions prevail in relation to the contractual relationship between us, and this page prevails in relation to the statutory disclosures it contains. All of these documents are available on this website, and copies can be requested from info@gravitymedia.com in a form you can keep. Reading them before you book will help you understand what you are agreeing to.

12. Applicable Law, Competent Courts and Consumer Dispute Rights

This website and all associated services are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from your use of the site or from your participation in a course is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save that if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings in your local courts, and nothing prevents you from relying on mandatory consumer protections available in your country of residence.

Consumers resident in the United Kingdom retain their rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including remedies where a service is not performed with reasonable care and skill and protection against unfair contract terms. Alternative dispute resolution, such as mediation through an approved scheme, may be available; we are not currently obliged to use a certified ADR provider for these contracts and do not commit to doing so, but we will consider mediation in good faith where a complaint cannot be resolved through our own procedure. Complaints about data protection may be directed to the ICO, and questions about VAT treatment may be raised with HM Revenue & Customs. Nothing in this page affects your statutory rights.

13. Contact Route, Changes to This Page and Last-Updated Statement

Enquiries about this Legal Information page, or about any of the matters it covers, should be sent to info@gravitymedia.com, raised by telephone on +44 20 3104 0000, sent by post to 32-34 Greenhill Crescent, Watford Business Park, Watford, Hertfordshire WD18 8JU, United Kingdom, or submitted through the contact form on the Contacts page of this website. Please include any booking reference so that we can find your record quickly.

We review this page regularly and may update it to reflect changes in the law, in our business practices, or in the way we operate. Where a change is material, we will highlight it on this page and, where we hold an email address for you in connection with a live booking, we will draw it to your attention. The current version was last updated on 6 November 2026. Continued use of the website after an update means you accept the revised page. We recommend that you check this page before each booking and keep a copy of your booking confirmation together with the version of the policies in force at the time.
